Alicia Woodberry
Soprano

Soprano Alicia Woodberry has been praised for causing "the magic to appear” (OperaGene), with a voice and presence that linger long after the final note. Recent highlights include Mimì in La bohème with Shakespeare Opera Theatre, performances as Miss Titmouse in Too Many Sopranos with Cedar Rapids Opera, and appearances in works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Smyth with the Clarion Choir and the Cathedral Choral Society. She is also a supporter of modern music as a frequent collaborator with composer Garth Baxter, from which they recorded the song cycle From the Heart: Three American Women. Alicia balances a vibrant performance career with her work as a passionate educator at Opal Music Studio in Alexandria, VA. She holds a master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Institute and a bachelor's degree in Music from Augustana College. She is based in Washington, DC, where she studies with soprano Elizabeth Daniels and coach Joy Schreier.
